26 Weeks

25-26 Weeks

The baby is starting to get big... or should I say my belly. The baby is an estimated 14 inches from head to toe and 1 2/3 lbs! I've already started hitting my belly on things like closing doors and grazing it and I almost burnt it on a baking pan today! I thought I had a ways to go before I ran into these type of "prego problems". Getting a good nights sleep has become challenging. Between more frequent bathroom breaks, only be able to sleep on your left side (per the unwritten prego rules), and not being able to sleep past 4:30am, i'm starting to think maybe this is how pregnancy prepares me to care for a newborns schedule. With that said, surprisingly I still feel pretty damn good! Milk and cereal are still my only cravings with black olives and chicken breast my only real food aversions. I think the pregnancy hormones are starting to peak through too! Last week I yelled at a lady at the grocery store who did not put her cart back in the cart return thing.... "Don't worry I'll put this away for you... You're welcome!!!" I yelled as she drove away and looked at me like I was the crazy one waddling HER cart back to the return. I can't wait to see what the next few months of hormones brings!

Down to the double digits!!!

Brian sent me these beautiful flowers to work for our "99 days" countdown to Baby Goose!

24 Weeks

24 Weeks - 6 Months!

I had to do the math numerous times to confirm that, yes, I'm already 6 months along! We had a great time with Brian's family in Maine for the 4th of July last week. Brian got to feel some pretty good kicks this past week too! The baby is definitely getting a work out in there. We have been seeing more and more noticeable movements on my belly.

I can't believe the difference from 2 months to 6 months!

21-23 Weeks

21-23 Weeks

So, I have been procrastinating just a bit and finally sat down to update the blog! There have been many highlights over the past few weeks. First, being our 20 week anatomy scan. From head-to-toe Baby was healthy any everything is where it should be. They estimated the baby to weight 1lb 2oz!

The baby's hand is up by his/her mouth. The ultrasound tech had a hard time getting a good picture of the baby's face because baby had his/her arm draped over the face : )

Seriously the cutest thing ever!

The fatigue is starting to come back, otherwise i'm still feeling great. Cravings-still milk and cereal!!! Food aversions-black olives and chicken breast does not sound appetizing at all!

7/1/14 Brian finally felt the baby kick!!! It was so exciting... although he was a little freaked out (which I don't blame him one bit!) it was pretty amazing he got a little glimpse of what I get to feel all of the time.

Baby's first gift came in the mail too. Thank you Grandma Schmitt: )
