30 Weeks

30 Weeks

I can't believe we are already 30 weeks! Baby is roughly 15.7 inches long and weighs almost 3lbs!!! This last week I have been pretty tired, the heartburn has been acting up, and I haven't had much of an appetite. I think the worst part is knowing I'm going to feel worse as it gets closer to the due date. I have been reassured "it's worth it" and people have more than one baby all the time, so it can't be that bad right?! I have been sleeping ok and still craving milk. Our OB appointment this week went great and we got to schedule the "rest" of our appointments up until the due date.

Brian got a little taste of "what it feels like"!!!

We had our birthing class today. Brian got to wear the "Empathy Belly". It weighed around 30lbs. Unfortunately he wasn't able to experience the kicks : )

29 Weeks

29 Weeks

Baby is kicking up a storm! Earlier in the week Brian had his hand on my belly and I got the BIGGEST kick to date! Brian actually jumped off the couch and I had tears rolling down my face I was laughing so hard! I could have sworn the baby was trying to get out he/she kicked SO hard! The 3rd trimester has been  treating my well so far, although, I am more tired, getting low back pain/sciatica from time to time, and just minor aches and pains. In general I am feeling good. I'm still drinking milk like crazy and for food aversions still chicken breast. My work schedule temporarily changed from working three 12hr shifts a week to working Monday-Friday 8a-4p. Being home early every night has been great! Although only working 3 days a week was great I think the 8 hour days were perfect timing.

We have a floor!

Ripping up the carpet padding

Brian being Brian : )

It was so nice Bob and Bill came up to help!

YAY!!! All we have left to do is the trim! I'm so excited and happy with how it turned out. Thank you Brian, Bob, and Bill!

27-28 Weeks

27-28 Weeks

We are getting very anxious to meet our little one! The baby has really been kicking up a storm the past two weeks. One day this week the baby hadn't been as active as he/she had been the day before (and I was kind of getting worried) so at night I had Brian rub my belly to see if he would be able to get any kicks. After a minute still no kicks! I told Brian to talk to the baby and finally when he said "Now listen to me when I talk to you Baby.... give me a kick!" As soon as he said "kick" the baby gave us a BIG kick. It was SO funny and really cute! At least we know who the disciplinarian is going to be:) Our doctor appointments are now down to every other week. Our appointment Friday went great-everything measuring on track! Sleeping at night has been hit or miss and I'm starting to get more of the sciatica/back pain. I have been feeling pretty good in general besides getting tired easily. Cravings-still good ol' cereal! Can't get enough of that stuff!

We FINALLY had a free day to start the baby's room!!! I am so excited!!! We ripped up the carpet, mudded some holes, and painted. Now all we, or should I say Brian, has to do is put in the hardwood floors: )

Favorite quote of the day "I'm pregnant-not handicap!" As I was mudding and painting I was trying to be VERY careful not to hurt myself. I could just imagine if I tripped on something or fallen and had to explain to the ER what happened hahaha.... I can't get the "Worst Mother of the Year" award before the baby is even born!

We STILL don't know if we are having a boy or girl. If baby is a girl we will do magenta accents, and if its a boy... well the rooms already a blue color so that will be easy!
